  • Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    Аccording to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of July 31, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 69,884 COVID-19 cases, 38,752 people recovered, 1,693 patients died. During the 24 hours, 1,090 new cases have been confirmed.

    A total of 1 029 220 samples in Ukraine were tested using PCR method. During the 24 hours, 598 people have recovered.

    As of July 31, coronavirus disease was registered:

    • Vinnytsia region – 2, 736 cases;
    • Volyn region – 3,783 cases;
    • Dnipropetrovsk region – 1,402 cases;
    • Donetsk region - 881 cases;
    • Zhytomyr region – 1,850 cases;
    • Zakarpattia region – 5,146 cases;
    • Zaporizhia region – 790 cases;
    • Ivano-Frankivsk region – 4,557 cases;
    • Kirovohrad region - 703 cases;
    • Kyiv – 8,241 cases;
    • Kyiv region – 3,716 cases;
    • Lviv region – 9,526 cases;
    • Luhansk region - 126 cases;
    • Mykolaiv region - 590 cases;
    • Odesa region – 3,214 cases;
    • Poltava region - 440 cases;
    • Rivne region – 6,024 cases;
    • Sumy region – 485;
    • Ternopil region – 2,976;
    • Kharkiv region – 3,711;
    • Kherson region – 227;
    • Khmelnytsky region – 1,138;
    • Chernivtsi region – 5,875;
    • Cherkasy region – 924;
    • Chernihiv region – 823.

    Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
