  • Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of March 25, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 16,669 (786 children out of this number, 446 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 282,420.

    Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 155,587 people have been vaccinated, of whom 155, 586 have received 1 dose, and 1 person has completed vaccination (received 2 doses).

    On March 24, 2021, 18,561 people were vaccinated against COVID-19, of which 18,561 persons were vaccinated with 1 dose, vaccination was completed (2 doses) - 0 people.

    During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 4838 persons, 362 patients died, 6748 persons recovered. There have been conducted 128 615 testings (57818 using the PCR method, 22950 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 47 847).

    During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

    • 1 596 575 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
    • 1 283 020 people recovered;
    • 31 135 people died;
    • 7 836 049 testings have been conducted.

    Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
