Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of November 24, in Ukraine, there have been officially confirmed 12,287 (533 children out of this number, 570 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 337,355.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 1,403 persons, 188 patients died, 8,298 persons recovered. There have been conducted 61,567 testing (35,425 using the PCR method and 26,142 using the ELISA method).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 647,976 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 299,358 people recovered;
  • 11,263 people died;
  • 4,279,025 testing have been conducted.

The largest number of confirmed cases in the last 24 hours was registered in Kyiv city (1,422 cases), Kyiv region (1,089), Dnipropetrovsk region (952), Odesa region (865), Zaporizhia region (800).

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
