  • Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of October 13, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 270,587 COVID-19 cases, 116,562 people recovered, 5,122 patients died. During the 24 hours, 5,133 new cases have been officially confirmed.

    A total of 2,630,988 samples in Ukraine were tested using PCR method. During the 24 hours, 2 152 patients have recovered.

    As of October 13, coronavirus disease was registered:

    • Vinnytsia region – 7 726 cases;
    • Volyn region – 9 955 cases;
    • Dnipropetrovsk region – 9 272 cases;
    • Donetsk region – 5 961 cases;
    • Zhytomyr region – 8 661 cases;
    • Zakarpattia region – 11 042 cases;
    • Zaporizhia region – 5 762 cases;
    • Ivano-Frankivsk region – 15 580 cases;
    • Kirovohrad region – 1 355 cases;
    • Kyiv – 28 090 cases;
    • Kyiv region – 11 525 cases;
    • Lviv region – 23 129 cases;
    • Luhansk region – 1 917 cases;
    • Mykolaiv region – 4 867 cases;
    • Odesa region – 17 047 cases;
    • Poltava region – 4 906 cases;
    • Rivne region – 14 868 cases;
    • Sumy region – 7 485;
    • Ternopil region – 16 250;
    • Kharkiv region – 25 625;
    • Kherson region – 2 024;
    • Khmelnytsky region – 9 230;
    • Chernivtsi region – 16 649;
    • Cherkasy region – 5 849;
    • Chernihiv region – 5 812.

    Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
