Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of May 11, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 2,208 (89 children out of this number, 34 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 300,534.

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 865,590 people have been vaccinated. On May 10, 2021, 2,194 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 10 people got CoviShield vaccine, 236 – CoronaVac vaccine, 468 – Comirnaty vaccine, 1,480 - AstraZeneka.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 1,084 persons, 119 patients died, 8,617 persons recovered. There have been conducted 21,974 testing (13,349 using the PCR method, 3,467 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 5,158).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 2,124,535 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 1,777,370 people recovered;
  • 46,631 people died;
  • 9,682,286 testings have been conducted.
