  • Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of October 9, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 250,538 COVID-19 cases, 110,650 people recovered, 4,779 patients died. During the 24 hours, 5,804 new cases have been officially confirmed.

    A total of 2,522,360 samples in Ukraine were tested using PCR method. During the 24 hours, 2,417 patients have recovered.

    As of October 9, coronavirus disease was registered:

    • Vinnytsia region – 7 331 cases;
    • Volyn region – 9 373 cases;
    • Dnipropetrovsk region – 8 301 cases;
    • Donetsk region – 5 372 cases;
    • Zhytomyr region – 7 718 cases;
    • Zakarpattia region – 10 629 cases;
    • Zaporizhia region – 5 172 cases;
    • Ivano-Frankivsk region – 14 835 cases;
    • Kirovohrad region – 1 262 cases;
    • Kyiv – 26 463 cases;
    • Kyiv region – 10 689 cases;
    • Lviv region – 22 172 cases;
    • Luhansk region – 1 613 cases;
    • Mykolaiv region – 4 293 cases;
    • Odesa region – 16 107 cases;
    • Poltava region – 3 921 cases;
    • Rivne region – 13 981 cases;
    • Sumy region – 6 404;
    • Ternopil region – 15 284;
    • Kharkiv region – 23 342;
    • Kherson region – 1 714;
    • Khmelnytsky region – 8 062;
    • Chernivtsi region – 15 939;
    • Cherkasy region – 5 349;
    • Chernihiv region – 5 212.

    Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
