Today, on June 14, First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Economy of Ukraine Oleksiy Lyubchenko joined the discussion of the National Economic Strategy until 2030 (NES 2030) within the framework of the All-Ukrainian Forum "Ukraine 30".
"Ukraine is a unique country with huge potential. We have every opportunity to ensure high rates of economic growth, in particular, highly diversified production, all economic activities are presented in our economy. Today, the Ministry of Economy is shaping a new model of economic development and identifying key points of economic growth that can bring a quick result. First of all, we have to change the management system," Oleksiy Lyubchenko said.
The First Deputy Prime Minister stated that the formation of a new management system will be implemented in 5 stages:
Key clusters are also identified, in particular, technological production, energy security and decarbonisation, security of life, the “city of craftsmen” and infrastructure.
Apart from that, Oleksiy Lyubchenko stressed that the development of human capital is a priority task of the Ministry of Economy and the Government, which needs a prompt solution because people are the main capital of Ukraine.
"The National Economic Strategy-2030 is a comprehensive document that defines the strategic economic course of the state's development. However, the main thing is not a document, but actions. We must act and achieve results. And we need to act immediately because today the foundation for Ukraine’s success is being laid," the First Deputy Prime Minister added.
Background
The National Economic Strategy until 2030 (NES 2030) was approved by the Government in March 2021.
The document encapsulates 20 key areas of economic development: macroeconomic policy, rule of law, state and communal property management, regulatory environment, international economic policy and trade, investment attractiveness, ICT, agriculture and food industry, energy, transport and infrastructure, services, regional development, entrepreneurship development, digital economy and cultural and value transformation of Ukraine.
Representatives of analytical, business associations, executive bodies, MPs, and experts joined the drafting of NES-2030. In total, more than 500 participants.
