The Government has directed UAH 46 million in the regions to pay off the arrears of wages to doctors. Such a decision was made today at an extraordinary meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.

"This has been a coercive measure to help local authorities to settle the problems of inefficient allocation of local budgets," said Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Goncharuk. He added that for this purpose, the Budgetary Committee of the Verkhovna Rada should approve the relevant decision.
