On September 15, within the framework of the visit of an official delegation of Ukraine led by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the Republic of Austria, the Minister of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine Oleksii Chernyshov took part in the Austrian-Ukrainian Business Forum.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, Federal President of Austria Alexander Van der Bellen, representatives of the Governments of Ukraine and Austria, the Austrian Chamber of Commerce, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine, heads of Luhansk and Kyiv regional administrations met with representatives of Austrian business and discussed investment opportunities and deepening cooperation between the two states.

Opening the forum, Oleksii Chernyshov, Chairman of the Ukrainian part of the Joint Ukrainian-Austrian Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, noted that Austria ranks sixth among countries investing in Ukraine. He thanked the Government of the Republic of Austria and business representatives for their interest in Ukraine and for continuing effective economic partnerships between the countries.

The Ukrainian delegation presented the investment potential of Ukraine, in particular in terms of reforms and development of the country, which are actively implemented in all regions of Ukraine. "Every time I visit the regions of our country, I make sure that investments in Ukraine yield result. Industrial parks, industrial facilities, health centers and medical infrastructure facilities are being built and operating. Ukraine is being built and developing. Large-scale construction is underway - the President's program "Great Construction" is being implemented, thousands of kilometers of road networks and a number of infrastructure facilities varying in purpose and scale are being built. The foundation of stability is being laid, jobs created, regions developed. It is important to ensure that our European partners know that the country is developing and changing. We have examples of effective partnership with Austrian business in Ukraine and we plan to continue to be open and promote dialogue between our countries, to provide support to investors," said Minister of Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Chernyshov in his statement.

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on the participants of the meeting to take part in the implementation of projects of the National Program "Great Construction" and the revival of cultural and architectural heritage. The Head of State noted that areas in which Austrian companies have modern technologies and best practices, such as the banking and insurance sectors, the energy and woodworking industries, road and ski infrastructure, in particular in the Carpathian region, should be of particular interest to them.

The participants discussed issues of cooperation in various sectors of the economy, development and deepening of trade and economic relations and prospects for investment in the Ukrainian economy.
