Minister of Social Policy Oksana Zholnovych met with the acting UN Women Representative in Ukraine Geeta Kuttiparambil to discuss the priorities of joint work and coordination of future cooperation.

The Minister thanked the UN Women in Ukraine for many years of cooperation in the field of ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men.

Oksana Zholnovych emphasized the need to develop and implement tools for the protection of women's rights in the armed conflict and to take into account their needs in the process of shaping of state policy during the post-war reconstruction of the country. The support and experience of UN Women’s in Ukraine experts will help to actively respond to the problems and challenges faced by Ukrainians, as well as will help the Government of Ukraine to integrate gender approaches into the activities of authorities.
