On 31 May, as part of a working visit to Sweden, Oksana Zholnovych, Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine, visited the medical production company Fillauer, which specialises in orthopaedic products and prostheses and is one of the world leaders in the prosthetics market.
Oksana Zholnovych noted that in the context of russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, the issue of providing people with additional rehabilitation equipment has become particularly relevant. The deepening of cooperation between Ukraine and Sweden could include the exchange of experience in the development of prosthetic products, as well as the creation of educational programmes for the training of specialists.
In addition, the Minister was shown the functionality of innovative prostheses produced by the company. These products include prostheses with an internal memory that can automatically reproduce the necessary actions and are directly controlled by human thought. The head of the Ministry discussed with the company’s management the possibilities of providing prosthetic devices to Ukrainian citizens, including military personnel injured in the war.
