Ministry of Social Policy increases the amount of compensation for the cost of prostheses and all other means of rehabilitation: Oksana Zholnovych

The Ministry of Social Policy pays special attention to providing citizens with rehabilitation services and rehabilitation aids, which is especially important during a full-scale war when a significant number of people are severely injured and traumatized as a result of russia's military aggression.

Every citizen of Ukraine has the right to free provision of auxiliary rehabilitation devices, the maximum cost of which is determined by the relevant order of the Ministry of Social Policy, for each individual product, depending on its type and design features.

The state pays for the cost of the prosthesis within the specified price limits and provides free maintenance of the product during its service life.

"To provide citizens with high-quality rehabilitation equipment, including prostheses, the Ministry of Social Policy has increased all maximum prices for rehabilitation equipment for people with disabilities by 27.5 percent. The installation of high-quality prosthetic devices directly affects the speed and completeness of restoring a person's functionality and returning to active life," said Minister of Social Policy Oksana Zholnovych.

At the same time, the military personnel can be provided with prosthetic devices at three times the price of the already increased maximum prices.

"For combatants from the military and other law enforcement agencies, we provide the opportunity to ensure the provision of prosthetic devices that are three times more expensive than the established maximum price - with increased functionality, more reliable components, from the best world manufacturers," explained Oksana Zholnovych.
