Due to the expected large number of appeals, the total amount in the budget provided for payments to vaccinated Ukrainians will be increased. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a regular session of the Government on December 2.

"The Government continues to implement the program of the President of Ukraine to pay 1,000 hryvnias for all vaccinated citizens. At the start of the program, the accrual will take place through the Diia application. Practical assistance to people will be provided by almost 100 offline Diia support points. The purpose of the program is to back the business affected by the pandemic and to stimulate vaccination," the Prime Minister stressed.

According to the Prime Minister, the Verkhovna Rada will shortly consider increasing the total amount of expenditures.
