In accordance with the instruction of Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman Naftogaz of Ukraine revised the previously established gas price for June. The  price was reduced by UAH 919.

In June the retail price of gas for the population will make up UAH 7,631 per 1,000 cubic meters instead of the previously established gas price worth UAH 8,550 UAH per 1,000 cubic meters.

In July the population will pay even less. Naftogaz stated that the price for industrial enterprises in June will be 12.7-13.5% lower compared with prices in June.

It should be noted that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a resolution №293 under which Naftogaz is obliged to reduce the gas price for the population from June.

Commenting on this decision, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman stressed that the aforementioned decision will not allow Naftogaz of Ukraine to use its monopoly status. "And they are monopolists. I want to add one word - "unfettered greed". We should adopt decisions, which will make them get their heads out of the clouds", Volodymyr Groysman emphasized.

At the same time, the Government proposed to analyze the formation of the gas price within NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine.
