The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated UAH 100 million to restore the buildings of the National Specialized Children’s Hospital “Okhmatdyt” and the Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery of the Ministry of Health destroyed by the russian missile attack on 8 July. The funds for the restoration will be allocated from the state budget reserve fund – the Government made the relevant decision at a meeting on 9 July.

“The aggressor is cynically hitting the most precious thing we have – our children. His goal is to intimidate Ukrainians. Yesterday we saw the extraordinary unity of the Ukrainian people. In the first hours after the shelling, hundreds of people brought water and medicine to Okhmatdyt and cleared the rubble. The work lasted all night. Ukrainian businesses raised UAH 100 million in just a few hours. We are sincerely grateful to our entrepreneurs for uniting and becoming a reliable support in times of major tragedies. Today, the Government is also allocating UAH 100 million. Together we will be able to rebuild what has been destroyed,” said Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine.

According to the Government’s decision, the Ministry of Health has been designated as the main spending unit.
