Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solskyi met with Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry of the Republic of Moldova Vladimir Bolea in Chișinău.
The Minister travelled to Moldova after the Moldovan side had announced its intention to temporarily impose measures on imports of grains and oilseeds from Ukraine, as some EU countries had done earlier.
Mykola Solskyi expressed his disagreement with such a decision on the part of Moldova. He also stressed that the grounds for such a decision are unclear, as Ukraine did not import these crops to the Republic of Moldova.
Volodymyr Bolea assured that the transit of Ukrainian agricultural products through Moldova would continue in full.
The negotiations will be ongoing.
