
Mykola Solskyi discusses Ukrainian sugar exports with Romanian counterpart
Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solskyi held a regular online meeting with Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Romania Florin-Ionuţ Barbu.
The parties discussed cooperation in the agricultural sector between Ukraine and Romania.
In particular, Mykola Solskyi informed about the decision taken by the Ukrainian Government to export 20,000 tonnes of sugar to Romania. This decision was made at the request of the Romanian side.
In addition, the Ministers discussed the transit of Ukrainian agricultural products through Romania and the Moldovan railway to the ports of Reni, Giurgiuleşti and Galați. They also addressed the possibility of increasing the transportation of Ukrainian agricultural products through the Romanian Sulina Canal.
Florin-Ionuţ Barbu thanked for the understanding on the issue of sugar exports to Romania and assured full support.
