Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solskyi held an online meeting with Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Croatia Marija Vučković.
The parties discussed the situation regarding restrictions on the export of Ukrainian agricultural products to Europe.
Marija Vučković expressed her full support and noted that Croatia understood Ukraine well. The Croatian Minister also stressed the need to find a solution to allow Ukrainian farmers to work and export as much grain as necessary. Therefore, the restrictions on agricultural exports to Europe should not be extended.
Mykola Solskyi thanked his counterpart for the understanding. In particular, for the fact that Croatia was one of the signatories of an appeal to the European Commission from the relevant ministers of 14 EU countries. In the letter, the signatories expressed concern over the temporary ban on imports of agricultural products from Ukraine to five EU countries and called on the European Commission to explain this decision.
