Mykola Solskyi discusses cooperation in agriculture with Italian counterpart

Mykola Solskyi, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, held an online meeting with Francesco Lollobrigida, Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry of the Italian Republic.

The parties discussed cooperation in the agricultural sector, support for Ukraine’s accession to the EU and the export of Ukrainian agricultural products to the global market.

Mykola Solskyi asked Francesco Lollobrigida to support the extension of the autonomous trade regime, which provides for duty-free and quota-free trade of Ukrainian agricultural products with the EU.

The Minister also thanked Italy for its participation in the Grain from Ukraine initiative of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

In turn, Francesco Lollobrigida noted that the Italian government and Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni had supported and would continue to support actions aimed at Ukraine’s victory and strengthening of its economy.

Mykola Solskyi thanked his counterpart for Italy’s firm position on support for Ukraine and invited him to visit Ukraine.
