Mykola Solskyi meets with agrarians from occupied and de-occupied territories to discuss their problems and needs

Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solskyi and his deputies met with agrarians from the occupied and de-occupied territories of Ukraine to discuss their urgent problems and needs, as well as to develop mechanisms for solving them.

The key difficulties currently faced by agricultural producers include the blocking of tax invoices; lawsuits over accrued utility bills for companies that are under occupation and have not actually consumed the services; obtaining loans under the 5-7-9 program, as well as lawsuits over non-payment of loan debts; demining of territories; changes in taxation; uncertainty in legislation regarding collaboration; and reservation of workers.

According to Mykola Solskyi, the Government will soon resume concessional lending to farmers under the 5-7-9 program. The loan guarantee will make up 50% of the loan amount.

With regard to tax and customs preferences, the Minister stressed that the Verkhovna Rada was considering draft laws providing for tax exemption for the fourth group single tax payers in respect of land plots located in the territories of military operations and/or temporarily occupied territories. As well as exemption from real estate tax for owners of property destroyed or damaged as a result of the armed aggression of the russian federation.

Besides, following the discussion of financial problems of agrarians, Mykola Solskyi instructed to arrange meetings with the management of the National Bank to discuss specific cases that were raised during the meeting.
