Today, December 12, 2019, Kyiv hosted a meeting of GUAM Heads of Government (Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Moldova). Infrastructure Minister Vladyslav Kryklii participated in the Plenary Meeting of GUAM Delegation Heads.

Commenting on the results of the Meeting, the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine noted that the development of the GUAM transport corridor and the interaction within the GUAM, TRACECA and European TEN-T networks will be significant for the creating of a free-trade area with GUAM States: "Multimodal transportation and digital transport corridors shall facilitate the rapid movement of goods between countries and the development of our economies as an outcome. We will also work on the liberalization of air traffic and road conveyance between our countries".

"We have pushed forward with the dialogue kicked off in early December during my visit to Baku, where I met with the Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of Azerbaijan Ramin Guluzade, the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov, and Minister of Economy and Infrastructure of Moldova Anatol Usatîi. Our Azerbaijani colleagues are preparing a draft concept for the GUAM digital transport corridor. We are planning to use their best practices of implementing digitalization in the transport sector," Vladyslav Kryklii stressed.

Following the meeting of the Heads of Government, two protocols were signed confirming intentions for the mutual recognition of authorized economic operators and their functioning as well as the use of blockchain technologies for verification of certificates of origin for the goods exported to the territory of the GUAM Member States.
