  • MTOT: 17 families received government assistance aimed for persons illegally imprisoned by the RF

    The Ministry for Temporary Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons continues to pay public relief to persons illegally deprived of their liberty by the Russian Federation in connection with political or public activities.

    According to the results of the work of the Commission under the MTOT, payments were made to 13 more families illegally deprived of their liberty by the Russian Federation in connection with political or public activities.

    In total, 17 families have already received the mentioned government assistance in the amount of UAH 100,000.

    MTOT continues to process state aid applications and compile cases for consideration by the Commission.

    By the end of year, the Commission intends to consider as many cases as possible to allocate targeted state funds to help individuals deprived of their personal liberty.

    Background

    In pursuance of paragraph 6 of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of April 18, 2018, No. 328 it is provided for payment of UAH 100,000 to persons deprived of personal freedom by illegal armed groups, occupational administration and/or authorities of the Russian Federation in temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and/or territory of the Russian Federation in connection with the public or political activities of the said individuals or members of their families.
