    "The Ministry of Health, together with the National Health Service of Ukraine, the State Enterprise e-Health and USAID project experts, has begun describing the healthcare business architecture. This document is of critical importance as it will help all participants in the field of healthcare to interact more effectively with each other, as well as to transform and optimize processes. In addition, the development of business architecture will allow for digital transformation, based on clear process sequences and dependencies, taking into account all the features, stages and interactions between processes," said Deputy Minister of Health Maria Karchevych.

    The business architecture and healthcare processes map will include the following:

    main processes by types of medical care: family medicine (primary), specialized (secondary), highly specialized (rehabilitation, prophylaxis, inpatient palliative care, emergency) with the relevant legal documents on the basis of which such care is provided;

    list of types of medical care processes: rehabilitation, diagnosis, counseling, prevention, document management, etc .;

    places of services’ provision;

    roles in the processes and service directories.

    Clear, transparent, described business processes of the e-healthcare system will provide an opportunity to more efficiently use the available resources of the system, obtain the desired data and results in the shortest way, as well as to use more efficiently the resources for its further development, change, addition.

    The document is expected to be presented by the USAID Health Reform Support Project in September 2022.
