  • Ministry of Health and partners to strengthen cooperation in the field of medical evacuation

    Deputy Minister of Health of Ukraine Iryna Mykychak and the founders of the charity organization Angels for Ukraine, Brooks Newmark (UK), Raitis Bullits (Latvia), Ihor Veretskyy and Hennadii Kryvosheya (Ukraine), agreed to strengthen cooperation in the field of medical evacuation of Ukrainians affected by the russian genocide.

    "Due to russia's military aggression, we suffer losses every day. Innocent civilians are being killed by missile attacks and artillery, and infrastructure, including medical facilities, is being destroyed. That is why helping Ukraine to ensure the medical evacuation of the injured Ukrainians is of utmost importance to us. And we are extremely grateful to all our partners and allies for such a powerful and strong support," said Deputy Minister of Health Iryna Mykychak.

    The participants also discussed further expansion of cooperation in supporting emergency medical centers. They also agreed on training projects for medical managers.

    The Deputy Minister thanked the co-founders of the Angels for Ukraine Charitable Foundation and all donors of the organization for their strong support of Ukraine in the fight for European freedom and assistance to the medical sector.

    Background information

    The Charitable Foundation Angels for Ukraine is an organization that has been evacuating Ukrainian citizens both within Ukraine and abroad since the first days of the full-scale war of the russian federation against Ukraine. The organization's goal is to help children, families, and the elderly to get to a place where they feel safe and where they can get help if they need it. In total, the organization managed to evacuate more than 21,000 people last year.
