Ministry of Health of Ukraine, posted 29 December 2022 10:27

152 external fixation devices (EFD) worth over UAH 519,000, 9 artificial lung ventilation devices (for newborns and children) worth UAH 10.5 million, 4 surgical microscopes for neurosurgery worth over UAH 32 million were purchased by the Medical Procurement of Ukraine for funds raised through the UNITED24 platform. This decision was made by the commission on the distribution of funds to meet the needs of health care sector.

In total, since May, the funds raised through the UNITED24 platform have been used to purchase 7,954 EFDs, 28 children's ventilators and other medical equipment. 4 surgical microscopes have just appeared in this list of equipment.

Obviously, the priority in the distribution remains the frontline regions, the regions that are most exposed to rocket and artillery attacks due to bordering with russia.

"This equipment is extremely important for providing medical care to the wounded. We are grateful to all those who care for the support and the opportunity to purchase it for use by medical workers," said Deputy Minister of Health on Digital Development Maria Karchevych.

It is worth reminding that one of the regional hospitals received almost UAH 5.5 million for repairs. The medical institution became the first UNITED24 project to rebuild medical infrastructure.
