Young entrepreneurs under the age of 25 can now apply for grants of up to UAH 150,000 to start their own business under the Vlasna Sprava programme. This service is available through the Diia portal. This was announced by Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine.
“We are creating conditions for young people to realise their business ideas. Grants for young people under the Vlasna Sprava programme are already available through the Diia portal. If you are under 25, apply for the programme and receive up to UAH 150,000 for your business. The grant for young people does not require the creation of new jobs. After a positive decision on the grant is made, one just needs to register as a private entrepreneur,” said Yuliia Svyrydenko.
According to her, it takes just a few clicks to apply. All you need to do is go to the Diia portal in the “Grant for Your Own Business” section and apply online.
After three years, such entrepreneurs will be able to receive another grant from the state – this time under the Vlasna Sprava programme on general terms. Today, it is UAH 250,000, provided that at least two jobs are created.
For more than two years of the programme, entrepreneurs have received more than 20,000 grants for business development worth almost UAH 5 billion.
Background
Under the Vlasna Sprava grant programme, Ukrainians can receive a microgrant of UAH 50,000 to UAH 250,000. The funds can be used to purchase or lease equipment, purchase raw materials and supplies, and rent premises. Both existing entrepreneurs and people with no experience of such activities can receive a microgrant. To receive a grant of more than UAH 75,000, a prerequisite for receiving funds is the creation of 1-2 jobs, depending on the amount of the grant.
Applications for grants can be submitted through the Diia portal along with a business plan. The programme is administered by the State Employment Service.
Information on receiving a grant under the Vlasna Sprava programme can be found on the programme’s website https://vlasnaspravagrant.com.ua.
The Government’s project eRobota is one of the components of the Made in Ukraine policy and includes grant programmes aimed at stimulating entrepreneurship and job creation. These include microgrants for starting or developing a business, grants for veterans and their spouses, grants for establishing and developing processing plants, and grants for starting a garden, vineyard or greenhouse. Applications for all areas of the eRobota programme can be submitted through the Diia portal.
