On 2 August, Rostyslav Karandieiev, Acting Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, took part in a discussion on cultural reintegration. The event was held as part of the initiative of the Association of Small Cities of Ukraine - the Mayor's Cabinet section at the Solutions Supermarket.
During the event, the participants discussed the functioning of the network of cultural institutions, their adaptation to work during a full-scale war, prospects for the development of the sector in communities, alternative sources of funding for cultural institutions, as well as attracting investors and international donors to communities.
Rostyslav Karandieiev, Acting Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, drew attention to the need to expand funding sources for cultural institutions. He stressed the importance of developing high-quality projects for the restoration of Ukraine and establishing effective communication with international partners.
"It is extremely important today to develop the professional level of competence of employees in cultural institutions and cultural departments of government authorities in order to expand the monetisation of our sector. After all, there are opportunities, and we need to learn how to properly approach international donors. There are excellent successful examples of such work," said Rostyslav Karandieiev, Acting Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine.
The meeting was moderated by Pavlo Kozyrev, Head of the ASCU. A total of 266 participants attended the meeting. The open dialogue gathered heads and deputies of local communities, heads of departments and heads of cultural sectors of local communities. The MCIP plans to hold further meetings to discuss topical issues in the field of culture, where all participants will have an opportunity to express their opinions and ask questions.
