Under the coordination of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, power engineers of Sumy region received about 15 tonnes of humanitarian aid equipment from donors from Azerbaijan, Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland.
“The energy infrastructure of the border regions suffers the greatest damage from russian attacks. Power engineers are working around the clock to repair the damage and return electricity to the homes of Ukrainians, using, among other things, equipment provided or purchased with the support of our international partners. We are grateful to donors from Azerbaijan, Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland for their important contribution to our energy resilience,’ said Minister of Energy German Galushchenko.
In total, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Sumy region has received about 595 tonnes of humanitarian aid, as well as equipment and materials supplied to companies through the Ukraine Energy Support Fund worth more than EUR 12 million.
The equipment received includes transformers, generators, vehicles and specialised machinery, equipment and materials required for repair and restoration works.
