Ministry for Veterans Affairs and Crimean Republican Organisation of the All-Ukrainian Trade Union of Military, Law Enforcement Officers and Combatants sign memorandum of partnership

The cooperation is aimed at supporting the legal and social protection of war veterans, their families and the families of fallen defenders of Ukraine.

The memorandum was signed by Yulia Laputina, Minister for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, and Ruslan Misiratov, Head of the Crimean Republican Organisation of the All-Ukrainian Trade Union of Military, Law Enforcement Officers and Combatants.

The aim is to involve representatives of the NGO in:

  • discussing draft legislation to ensure the rights and freedoms of war veterans and their families;
  • participation in monitoring groups at the Ministry for Veterans Affairs;
  • cooperation to improve mental rehabilitation programmes for veterans and their families;
  • implementation of practical measures to create a positive image of a war veteran, etc.

“Currently, the Ministry for Veterans Affairs is actively working to ensure that our Defenders of Ukraine have the opportunity to return to civilian life without any problems, receive proper social support from the state and all opportunities for self-realisation in communities, and contribute to the country’s economic recovery,” said Yulia Laputina.

“We are ready for fruitful and effective cooperation with the Ministry for Veterans Affairs in the implementation of programmes to support war veterans, their families and the families of fallen soldiers,” stressed Ruslan Misiratov.
