The Government has adopted a resolution to launch Sandbox, a tool that will allow companies to pilot and develop high-tech products under state supervision.

Thus, Ukrainian start-ups will be able to receive a full audit, as well as individual consultations and recommendations to create and develop products in an uncertain legal environment.

The Sandbox will be created for companies launching high-tech products that can be used in the areas of the digital economy, public services, healthcare, biotechnology, agriculture, education and science, defence, etc. Such products must use artificial intelligence or blockchain technology.

How it will work:

• A company applies for participation via the Innovation Development Fund’s web portal, providing information about itself.
• The application is processed by the administrator.
• If the company meets the requirements, the applicant can add a description of the product itself.
• Experts prepare a product research plan and agree it with the company.
• After that, the process of working with the product by different specialists begins.

Currently, the programme will run for two years, until the end of 2026, but in the future, the Sandbox may become a permanent tool for supporting innovation in Ukraine.
