  • Ministry of Digital Transformation: U.S. to allocate USD 37 million to support Ukraine's cyber resilience

    The fifth annual Ukraine-United States Cyber Dialogue took place in Estonia. During the meeting, the U.S. delegation expressed support for Ukraine in its fight against russian aggression and announced that it would provide an additional USD 37 million in cyber assistance in cooperation with Congress. The funds will be used to strengthen Ukraine's cyber resilience and protect critical networks and digital infrastructure.

    "The Ministry of Digital Transformation is currently focusing on building a digital resilience ecosystem. The U.S. support is an important indicator of the further development of this strategy. We are grateful to our colleagues for their assistance in strengthening Ukraine's cyber capabilities and providing tools to protect critical infrastructure, including digital infrastructure," commented Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Heorhii Dubynskyyy.

    During the Cyber Dialogue, the parties shared their views on the role of cybersecurity in Ukraine's long-term digital development. They also discussed potential future cooperation between Ukraine and the United States on cyber issues. In particular, the exchange of experience gained by Ukraine in the course of constantly improving its cyber and digital policy.

    Including the announced financial support, since February 2022, the total amount of assistance from the United States will be USD 82 million to improve Ukraine's cyber resilience, and more than USD 120 million since 2016. This has made it possible to strengthen Ukraine's cyber capabilities, detect and respond to cyber incidents and threats in a timely manner.
