Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity develops algorithm for additional cash assistance to vulnerable groups funded by international partners
The development of social policy and support for the most vulnerable population groups remains a priority for the state. Primary focus is on ensuring the stability of social payments, expanding access to assistance, and improving mechanisms for its allocation.
To address this, the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity has drafted a resolution establishing a unified mechanism for cooperation with international and national partners to provide additional cash assistance to socially vulnerable groups.
The resolution has been endorsed by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
The adopted changes will enable:
- Provision of assistance to vulnerable groups funded by international partners without requiring additional applications from recipients;
- Additional assistance to be transferred directly to the recipient’s account by partners in the manner and amounts determined by them;
- The amount of additional assistance not to be factored into the calculation of household aggregate income when determining eligibility for all types of social assistance.
It should be noted that previous cooperation between the Ministry and international partners in 2023–2025 attracted over UAH 5.1 billion and provided additional social support to more than 1 million citizens.
