  • Ministry for Reintegration of Temporary Occupied Territories: Over 4 million Ukrainians have received financial assistance from international organizations

Since the onset of the war, 4.3 million Ukrainians have already received financial assistance from various UN agencies and other humanitarian organizations. The total amount of cash payments exceeded USD 1 billion. Such statistics is posted on the website of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

Over the past 2 months, international humanitarian organizations have significantly expanded cash transfer programs to help residents of the liberated territories who survived the occupation. More than 100,000 citizens in the de-occupied territories of Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Luhansk, Kharkiv and Kherson regions have obtained such financial assistance.

Currently, the projects of financial support implemented by the Ministry for Reintegration of Temporary Occupied Territories jointly with the Red Cross Society of Ukraine and the International Organization for Migration are ongoing in the liberated territories. Other international donors also plan to increase financial support to Ukrainians affected by the occupation.
