The Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories has transferred over UAH 238 million in compensation for free accommodation of internally displaced persons. This is compensation for utilities consumed during the four-month free stay of IDPs in the premises of state and municipal property.
As of 19 September, more than UAH 238.2 million has been transferred to regional budgets for the payment of compensation to municipal institutions, state educational institutions financed from local budgets, and jointly owned institutions of territorial communities administered by regional and district councils.
These funds are allocated by the Government from the Reserve Fund of the State Budget and transferred by the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories to local budgets to cover the utility costs of the institutions that hosted IDPs.
