How those released from captivity and families of prisoners can receive financial assistance from the Government: Ministry for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories
The Commission for establishing the fact of deprivation of personal liberty as a result of armed aggression against Ukraine continues to work under the Ministry for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories.
The Commission is composed of representatives of state bodies and specialised NGOs and its responsibility is to ascertain the fact of captivity of military and civilians, including those already released from captivity.
After the Commission establishes the fact of deprivation of personal liberty, the Ministry for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories pays a one-time state financial assistance of UAH 100,000 to persons released from captivity.
The Ministry also pays an annual state allowance of UAH 100,000 for each year of captivity to former prisoners of war or family members of those still in captivity.
To receive these state benefits, one should apply to the Ministry for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories.
