The UK has announced a new GBP 60 million military aid package. One third of the money will be spent on air defence systems that will "help secure Ukraine's skies". The package will also include reconnaissance drones.

"I am grateful to the UK and Minister of State Grant Shapps for another package of military assistance for Ukraine. Drones and air defence systems are key in the fight against russian evil. The strength of our unity brings Ukraine's victory closer," said Ukraine's Defence Minister Rustem Umerov.

Earlier, the UK announced a record GBP 2.5 billion aid package for Ukraine. The funds were allocated for additional air defence equipment, anti-tank weapons, long-range missiles and thousands of shells.
