On November 20-21, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin, on invitation of the Head of the Government of Austria, paid a short working visit to the Republic of Austria.
Within the framework of the visit, Pavlo Klimkin met with Chancellor of Austria Sebastian Kurz. The parties discussed issues related to the European Union’s policy on the Russian Federation as a result of Kremlin’s aggression against Ukraine, as well as bilateral Ukrainian-Austrian relations in the context of the future Year of Ukrainian culture in Austria.
The Minister for Foreign Affairs in the course of the meeting with the Archbishop of Vienna, Cardinal Christoph Schönborn informed about the situation in Ukraine on the eve of the provision of autocephaly to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and establishment of a single Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
Within the framework of the visit to Vienna, Pavlo Klimkin took part in the international high-level conference on combating anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism, he also delivered a speech during the panel and at a joint dinner with representatives of international Jewish organizations.
