  • Ministry of Infrastructure transferred 31 special accident rescue vehicles to the State Emergency Service

    On December 24, First Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Dmytro Abramovych transferred special emergency rescue vehicles of light type (SARM-L) to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU). The event was attended by Mykola Chechotkin, Head of the SESU, Kyrylo Khomiakov, Chairman of the State Agency for Infrastructure Projects, the personnel of the Departments of the SESU in regions and units of central subordination.

    The First Deputy Minister stressed that the transport was purchased by the State Agency for Infrastructure Projects under the State Road Safety Improvement Program in Ukraine for the period up to 2020.

    "Our goal is to reduce road mortality by at least 30%.It is vitally important for rescuers, who are working on the scene of the road traffic accident, to ensure timely search for victims and to provide them with medical care. The abovementioned vehicles are designed to provide rescue efforts during the first priority rescue operations, eliminate the consequences of road accidents, measures to search for victims and provide them with medical assistance, organizing communications and notification during the liquidation consequences of emergencies. Reducing road accidents and the consequences of road accidents for the life and health of people is a priority of the road safety program," Dmytro Abramovych underscored.
