
Ministry of Finance: Since the beginning of the year, UAH 151.2 billion has been allocated for social benefits

In January-April 2024, UAH 151.2 billion was allocated from the state budget for social payments, including UAH 38.5 billion in April.
These funds were allocated as follows:
- UAH 90.4 billion, including UAH 24.4 billion in April, to finance the payment of pensions, bonuses and increases to pensions granted under pension programmes and to cover the Pension Fund’s deficit;
- UAH 26.8 billion, including UAH 5.3 billion in April, for the social protection of citizens in difficult life circumstances;
- UAH 5.1 billion, including UAH 1.5 billion in April, to support low-income families;
- UAH 20.1 billion, including UAH 5 billion in April, to provide benefits and housing subsidies to citizens;
- UAH 7.8 billion, including UAH 2 billion in April, for social protection of children and families;
- UAH 1 billion, including UAH 0.3 billion in April, for social protection of people with disabilities.
“In the first four months of this year, social expenditures were financed in the amount of UAH 151.2 billion, or 16% of the total expenditures of the general fund of the state budget. Most of the funds were allocated to pay pensions – UAH 90.4 billion, or 9.6% of the general fund of the state budget. All payments were made on time and in full. We continue to do everything necessary to ensure that social services are transparent, accessible and targeted to those people who need them the most,” Deputy Minister of Finance Roman Yermolychev commented.
