In June, Ministry of Finance transferred UAH 24.3 billion from state budget to local budgets
In June 2023, in line with the budget legislation, the Ministry of Finance transferred UAH 24.3 billion in inter-budgetary transfers to local budgets, which is 88.3% of the allocations provided for in the budget plan, including:
- the basic subsidy in the amount of UAH 2.4 billion, or 100% of the allocations;
- additional subsidies of more than UAH 1 billion.
In addition, in June, local governments, territories where military operations are (were) underway, or temporarily occupied territories still had at their disposal a reverse subsidy of UAH 242.3 million, which was not transferred to the state budget in wartime.
Between January and June 2023, the balances of local budgets and budgetary institutions in the general and special funds increased by UAH 54.3 billion and amounted to UAH 169.7 billion as of 01.07.2023.
Fund balances have increased in all regions of Ukraine.
With these resources, local governments will continue to be able to finance priority needs at the local level.
