The World Bank has approved the restructuring of "Ukraine Improving Higher Education for Results" project implemented by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. Component 5 "Support for academic scholarships provided by the Ministry of Education and Science and social scholarships provided by the Ministry of Social Policy for students of higher education institutions" was added to the project structure.

Funding to the tune of $100 million under Component 5 will be transferred to the general fund of the state budget as retroactive financing of academic and social scholarships paid by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Ministry of Social Policy.

Therefore, at the expense of these funds under martial law it is planned to preserve funding for social benefits.
