Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture: Since the start of year, farmers have received UAH 102.5 million in grants for orchards and greenhouses

Farmers continue to receive state grant support for the development of horticulture, berry farming, viticulture, and greenhouse farming. Since the beginning of 2026, 20 enterprises have already secured UAH 102.5 million for the development of horticulture, berry farming, viticulture, and greenhouse farming.

Specifically, 12 businesses received UAH 56.5 million for the development of orchards, berry farming, and viticulture, while another 8 agricultural enterprises received UAH 46 million for the development of greenhouse farming.

“Today, the grant program provides financial support to farmers and serves as an investment in the modernization of Ukraine’s agricultural sector. Thanks to these funds, enterprises are planting new orchards, building modern greenhouses, launching irrigation technologies, and creating new jobs in local communities. It is important that even amid the war, agribusiness continues to develop, invest in high-value-added production, and strengthen the country’s food security,” noted Taras Vysotskyi, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine.

In total, since the grant support program began, the state has already disbursed UAH 1.69 billion to 361 business entities.

Of this amount, UAH 1.18 billion was allocated to 258 farms for the development of horticulture, berry farming, and viticulture. Of these, 241 received full funding.

A total of UAH 541.2 million was disbursed to 102 businesses for the development of greenhouse farming. All greenhouse farms received their full funding.

Background information

The Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture resumed accepting grant applications for the development of greenhouse farming and horticulture on February 2, 2026. The program is being implemented in accordance with Resolution No. 738 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine,

taking into account the latest changes adapted to the requirements of the EU’s Ukraine Facility.

In 2026, the grant amount is up to UAH 7 million per facility, but not more than 70% of the project cost, and for enterprises in de-occupied and frontline territories—up to 80%.

Applications can only be submitted through the Diia portal. A mandatory requirement is registration in the State Agrarian Register and the possession of ownership or lease rights to a land plot for a term of at least 7 years.
