This year’s Ukraine Mine Action Conference is being co-organised by Japan. The country is one of Ukraine’s key partners in humanitarian demining. Japan has allocated more than USD 70 million (equivalent) for relevant machinery and equipment, as well as for capacity building in mine action.

The Ukraine Mine Action Conference is a platform for a sustainable dialogue between Ukraine and its international partners at the highest political level to most effectively address the problem of mine and other explosive ordnance contamination in Ukraine. The previous conferences were held in Zagreb (2023) and Lausanne (2024) and brought together key international stakeholders in mine action.
