The Ukrainian IT market has a number of competitive advantages and great potential. Currently, according to various sources, there are between 3,000 and 5,000 IT companies in Ukraine. However, unfortunately, there is lacking accurate statistics and a single database that would contain information about the entire ecosystem of Ukraine.

In order to clearly demonstrate the power of the Ukrainian IT ecosystem, make it visible, measurable and effective, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine has today launched a unique platform 360 Tech Ecosystem Overview.

360 Tech Ecosystem Overview is an online portal for finding business information about IT companies, people, investors and the entire technology ecosystem of Ukraine. The collected information includes data on the current development of IT companies, information on founders and executives from the administrative staff, classification of companies by industry, investment and financing, mergers and acquisitions, company news and industry trends.

"Digitalization and development of the IT sphere is among the topmost priorities for our Ministry. We have set ourselves the goal of doubling the share of the IT sector's GDP in Ukraine to 10% in three years. And we are moving with confidence in this direction. In particular, today we launched the 360 Tech Ecosystem Overview platform, which opens new opportunities for the market and will allow all participants of the technological ecosystem to interact and develop more effectively. Always relevant and providing access for everyone, the portal clearly demonstrates to the world the attractiveness of our IT market and will promote Ukrainian technology companies in the international arena," said Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation for IT Development Olexandr Bornyakov.

Oleksandr Yatsenko, a representative of InAU, a managing partner of BRISE Capital and a co-author of the 360 Tech Ecosystem Overview project, noted that the idea to conduct a census of food technology companies had appeared several years ago.

"The target of the project is to gather the most complete base of teams and products created by Ukrainians and to provide better transparency and promotion to Ukraine as a modern and creative country. The project is also a great example of uniting different teams that, having a common goal, have created a unique portal for the development of entrepreneurship and technology in Ukraine," added Oleksandr Yatsenko.

The platform was created at the initiative of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the Ukrainian Internet Association and the Ukrainian Bridge organization. The project brought together existing databases from USF, DOU, LIFT99, We_Challenge, Center42, UNIT.City and others. The project's technology partners are cloud operator GigaCloud, which provided the technical resources to host the online platform, and Sannacode, which helped make the project a reality.

"Creating a large public base of Ukrainian startups and companies is an important part of our IT ecosystem's promotion among international investors. Funds and private investors from all over the world regularly look at the Ukrainian market, but for them, it is still less clear than the ecosystems of neighboring countries and regions. If we want more funding from international investors to come to Ukraine, we need to show more details about the Ukrainian startup market and promote Ukrainian companies on the radar of potential partners, clients and funds," said Ukrainian Bridge project coordinator, We_Challenge co-founder Yevhenia Bespalova.

The platform will be constantly updated and filled with new projects. By April 2021, the portal will be completely filled.
