Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food: UAH 1.6 billion granted to agricultural enterprises since the beginning of the year under the Affordable Loans at 5-7-9 programme

Since the beginning of the new year 2024, 578 agricultural enterprises have already received UAH 5.2 billion in bank loans for development. Of these, 433 farms have received UAH 1.6 billion in loans under the state programme Affordable Loans at 5-7-9.

Farmers in the following regions obtained the largest amount of loans under various programmes:

  • Kyiv region - UAH 3 billion allocated to 64 enterprises;
  • Dnipropetrovsk region - UAH 308.9 million for 35 companies;
  • Kharkiv - UAH 245.3 million for 27;
  • Chernihiv - UAH 206.8 million for 20;
  • Lviv - UAH 180.9 million for 45;
  • Vinnytsia - UAH 173.4 million for 58.

Under the Affordable Loans at 5-7-9 programme, enterprises in three regions received the most funds:

  • Kharkiv region - UAH 237.3 million allocated to 26 farms;
  • Kyiv - UAH 195.8 million for 44 enterprises;
  • Lviv - UAH 159.3 million for 32;
  • Vinnytsia - UAH 157.1 million for 48.

Background information

Concessional financing for agricultural producers under the Affordable Loans at 5-7-9 Programme in 2024-2025 is made possible by the World Bank's support under the Ukraine Agriculture Recovery Inclusive Support Emergency Project (ARISE). The programme facilitates access to bank lending for micro and small-sized businesses. Farmers can receive a loan of up to UAH 90 million. Loans are provided at 5-9% per annum, depending on the loan category and business entity.
