During a session on July 14, the Government supported the decision to set monthly pension supplements for servicemen and other law enforcement officers. Almost 400,000 people will receive additional funds.

"At the initiative of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, a resolution was adopted, thanks to which hundreds of thousands of military and other law enforcement officers will receive supplementary pension benefits. Through the imperfection of the legislation, since 2018 a large number of military retirees have not received indexation, which has created an imbalance in terms of pension provision, when some categories of citizens fall under indexation and others do not. Today we have corrected this situation," said Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

According to the Head of Government, the minimum pension payment will be set at UAH 3,854. In addition, it is planned to increase benefits for combatants who have lost their ability to work.

The Prime Minister instructed to immediately submit a resolution with all calculations to the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Budget.
