Over the two years of the Government's eVidnovlennia program, almost 100,000 Ukrainian families have benefited from it, receiving funds to restore damaged houses or purchase new housing under housing certificates. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a session of the Cabinet of Ministers on May 6.
He emphasized that this initiative was an efficient tool that already allows people to receive compensation for damaged or lost housing.
"Assistance to families for the repair of damaged housing has already amounted to UAH 9.8 billion. The state has made it possible to generate 17,400 housing certificates for over UAH 25 billion. Also, we have already received almost a thousand applications for payments for the construction of new housing on private land plots," said Denys Shmyhal.
He also emphasized that the Government was constantly expanding the eVidnovlennia program by adding new options. Thus, compensation for IDPs and the possibility to pay the first installment of the eOselia mortgage with a housing certificate are available. According to the Prime Minister, participation in this program provides another way to purchase their own housing on favorable terms, and 16,700 families have already taken advantage of it.
