Since the beginning of the year, 4,320 agricultural enterprises have received UAH 28.5 billion in bank loans for development. Of these, under the state Affordable Loans at 5-7-9 programme, 2,299 farms were financed for UAH 9.95 billion.

Farmers in the following regions received the largest amount of loans under various programmes:

• Kyiv region – UAH 10.5 billion allocated to 398 enterprises;
• Ternopil region – UAH 1.95 billion (174);
• Kirovohrad region – UAH 1.6 billion (544);
• Dnipropetrovsk region – UAH 1.5 billion (309);
• Lviv region – UAH 1.49 billion (250);
• Vinnytsia region – UAH 1.3 billion (412);
• Odesa region – UAH 1.3 billion (323);
• Poltava region – UAH 1.2 billion (245);
• Kharkiv region – UAH 1.2 billion (247).

The largest amount of loans under the Affordable Loans at 5-7-9 programme was provided to enterprises in the following regions:

• Kyiv region – UAH 1.1 billion allocated to 210 enterprises;
• Vinnytsia region – UAH 1 billion (240);
• Kharkiv region – UAH 1 billion (143);
• Kirovohrad region – UAH 989.2 million (313);
• Odesa region – UAH 684.5 million (180);
• Volyn region – UAH 611.8 million (144);
• Lviv region – UAH 598.7 million (161).

Background

Concessional financing for agricultural producers under the Affordable Loans at 5-7-9 programme in 2024-2025 is made possible with the support of the World Bank under the Ukraine Agriculture Recovery Inclusive Support Emergency (ARISE) Project. The programme facilitates access to bank lending for micro and small businesses. Farmers can receive a loan of up to UAH 90 million. Loans are granted at 5-9% per annum, depending on the loan category and type of business entity.
