People who have already made repairs at their own expense will be eligible for compensation: Government decision

At its meeting on 21 July, the Government approved amendments to the eVidnovlennia (eRestoration) programme that will allow compensation to be paid to people who have already carried out repairs at their own expense. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

“We are bringing life back and restoring everything people need for a normal living. Repairing and rebuilding homes is one of the key processes. The eVidnovlennia programme is already in place, providing targeted funding for housing repairs,” the Prime Minister said.

The Prime Minister has instructed the Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development and the Ministry of Digital Transformation to communicate in detail what the compensation mechanism will look like: “We expect it to be ready in autumn, after which the relevant payments will begin.”
