As part of the public administration reform, the Government is actively seeking effective managers for Category A positions.

The Senior Civil Service Commission has recommended to the Government 23 candidates for various vacancies based on the results of the competition:

* 2 candidates - for the position of the Head of the State Service of Geology and Subsoil;

* 3 candidates for the position of the Head of the State Archival Service;

* 4 candidates for the position of the Head of the State Forest Resources Agency;

* 2 candidates for the position of the Head of the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service;

* 3 candidates for the position of the Head of the State Architectural and Construction Inspectorate;

* 2 candidates for the position of the Head of the State Motor Roads Service;

* 4 candidates for the position of the Head of the State Service of Ukraine for Transport Safety;

* 3 candidates for the position of Head of the State Service of Ukraine for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre.

In addition, the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service have summarized the first results of the competitions:

* 478 candidates were tested for knowledge of the law, as well as for abstract, verbal and numerical thinking;

* 451 candidates were tested in a foreign language;

* 126 candidates were admitted to solving situational problems.

As was reported earlier the open competition for the positions of the State Secretary to the Ministry of Health, the Head of the State Service for Maritime and River Transport, the State Secretary to the Ministry of Social Policy, the Head of the State Service on Food Safety and Consumer Protection and the Head of the State Water Resources Agency is underway.
